Neuromuscular Therapy
Neuromuscular therapy is a deep tissue massage intended to release trigger points and relax hyper tonic muscles. Neuromuscular massage helps to relieve congestion in muscles due to accidents, heavy workouts or repetitive stress injuries.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is becoming widely known for its deeply relaxing benefits. It employs a technique that uses smooth, heated basalt stones which are placed on specific acupressure points on the body to melt away knots, tension and stress. It can be applied as a relaxation technique or the stones can be used for deep therapeutic work. The hot stone experience relieves pain, promotes balance and is extremely invigorating.
Myofacial Release
Myofacial release is gentle blend of stretching and massage that uses hands-on manipulation of the entire body to promote healing and relieve pain. Just as its name suggests–myofascial comes from the Latin “myo” for muscle and “fascia” for band–therapists use the technique to ease pressure in the fibrous bands of connective tissue, or fascia, that encase muscles throughout the body. Scarring or injury to this network of connective tissue is a major cause of pain and impeded motion. People with longstanding back pain, fibromyalgia, recurring headaches, sports injuries, and a host of additional complaints benefit from the technique.
Reflexology
Reflexology is based on the theory that there are reflexes in the feet and hands that correspond to every organ, gland and part of the body. It is a healing therapy that puts the nervous system into a parasympathetic state; the only state in which rest and repair can occur. Reflexolgy can improve the flow of blood, nutrients, lymph and energy. It can reduce muscle tension and pain and help restore the normal functioning of the body’s glands and organs, for the maintainenece of optimal health.
