Dr. Stacy
Dr. Stacy was born and raised in Michigan and went to Lakeview High School in St. Clair Shores. She moved to Atlanta with her oldest son, Nicholas and first husband in 1991 so her husband could attend Life University. Since she could never be accused of being an underachiever, while there she had her son Austin and went ahead and graduated from Life University in 1997 with a doctorate in chiropractic.
She returned to her home state and started practicing at Skarbo Chiropractic in Port Huron two weeks after graduation. She worked there for a year and in 1998 opened Mainstreet Chiropractic in down town Mt. Clemens. 6 months after opening the new clinic Dr. Skarbo’s new associate was not working out and Dr. Stacy was asked to come back 2 days a week until a suitable replacement could be found. In October of 2014 Dr. Skarbo’s niece took over for her and she is now exclusively offering hours in Mt Clemens.
In 2008, she teamed up with best friend and artist, Tami Jo Urban and Art of Skin and Bones was born. The clinic was relocated to Clinton Township in January 2009 and housed Dr. Stacy, 5 massage therapists, Tami Jo (when she visits from Miami) and a full art gallery. In 2012 we accepted the fact that Tami Jo was never coming back to Michigan and downsized to a lovely office in Mount Clemens.
Always looking to better help her patients, Dr. Stacy has continued her education with over 600 hours in Applied Kinesiology, a 2 year apprenticeship in Clinical Neurology, several nutritional therapy courses, various technique classes, and is currently taking classes in Functional Medicine. Dr. Stacy’s hands-on practice focuses on functional stability. She utilizes the Diversified system of adjusting, as well as Cox flexion-distraction, toggle recoil, and the Thompson drop technique.
Dr. Stacy and her husband currently live in Mt. Clemens with their pack of rescued dogs.
